Disclaimer!
We are aware that the difficulty may not increase gradually as we wanted to show a glimpse of the full potential of the game in this little time. For this reason we added a few features to simplify the playtest:
- All levels are available from the start. However, we suggest following the default order.
- All endings are available in the level selector screen. Additionally, an ending is reached, there is a button to watch the other.
- A walkthrough and a narrative explanation is provided in this readme. Despite that, we encourage you to try it yourself before reading it.
- The title of each level gives a hint of the narrative and sometimes of how to solve the level itself.
- Level 6 contains a very important part of the narrative, we recommend that you check the beginning of the level.
Controls
- Move: A/D
- Jump: W/Space
- Rotate cube: Right Click + drag

Other features
- Accessibility: Dyslexia mode + all platforms and objects are colour blind friendly.
- Identity diversity: The game explores the character ‘s identity problem.
- Technology: For the effect of the pass-level state (rotating the cube), we use stencil buffers, where every face has a stencil layer, and the camera only renders what matches the same layer as the principal faces of the cube. To change between faces , we deactivate the colliders on the other side every time the player crosses the divisor line of the cube. To understand how these stencil buffers work, it utilizes the Z-depth of the camera to search with the Render Pipeline for the layers that match, rendering only those. Additionally, a shader material defines in a Quad geometry what the player can see inside of it, every side of the cube has one.
- Black and White Shader: Every time the player dies, we apply a Black and White dead effect with a material on a sphere that grows and covers the entire scene.

Narrative
Iris is a teenage girl navigating a surreal world that mirrors her internal struggles with identity and self-image. As she ventures through the enigmatic cube, she transforms into different shapes—each symbolising societal expectations and personal perceptions. Even her failures become opportunities for growth.
In the final stage of her journey, she faces a crucial decision: return to her original form, carrying the lessons learned from each transformation and facing life's challenges as her true self, or remain in one of the adopted shapes, forever trapped by the uncertainty about her true identity.
Identities
Knight: This form represents her need to always appear strong. She can't afford to be seen as overly sensitive or dramatic.
Robot: Iris oftenly struggles understanding emotions and social cues, which makes her feel inadequate. With this shape, she hopes to become smarter to overcome that challenge.
Model: This tall, sophisticated form embodies the societal role imposed on her because of her gender. She must remain graceful, polite and caring, no matter the circumstances.
Bugs
- Sometimes the red zones collide strangely with the player. Even sometimes if the player collides with the area on a diagonal there is a chance that the player pierce through the area.
- There are some invisible buttons on the top left of the screen. Hovering them will highlight the original ones and clicking them will execute their function. Beware of missclicks.
- If you jump over a corpse that is pressing a pressure plate sometimes it will unpress the pressure plate.
- Rarely, pressure plates pressed by corpses will unpress for a very short tick of time.
- Sometimes when entering a level the colourblind mode may be activated, even though the toggle in settings is not. Toggle and untoggle the colourblind setting to fix.
- It can happen that trying to select a level doesn’t do anything. In that case, rotate the cube back to its original position and try again.
